absolute location to identify a location on Earth by using longitude and latitude lines
continent any continuous landmass found on Earth (ex: africa, asia, europe)
relative location directions (North. South, East, and West) to a certain location
hemisphere an imaginary line that splits the world in half
equator an imaginary line that splits the world into Northern and Southern hemispheres
prime meridian an imaginary line that splits the world into Eastern and Western hemispheres
latitude imaginary lines that go around the Earth like the equator
longitude imaginary lines that go around the Earth like the Prime Meridian
climate the weather conditions for a certain area over a long period of time
natural resources things found in nature; not man-made
population distribution where people live spread across a given area
trade the act of buying and selling
modify minor changes / to improve
