King George the Third British monarch who ruled for 59 years
Quartering Act A law passed that forced colonists to house and supply British Soldiers with anything they needed
Revenue Income that the Government collects
Sugar Act A law that placed taxes on any sugary items which also meant smugglers would get a harsher punishment
Stamp Act A law that requires all legal and commercial documents to carry an official stamp to show the tax was paid
Patrick Henry A member of Virginia's House of Burgesses
Boycott Refusal to buy certain goods
Sons of Liberty A group of colonists who formed a Secret Society to oppose British policies at the time of the American Revolution
