Geography Concepts

Absolute location the exact place that somebody lives
Continent the world's main land
Relative Location is when you are trying to give someone directions and you use landmarks and left and right and straight
Hemisphere Hemispheres split the earth in 4 different sections and those sections are called hemispheres
Equater the line that separates the earth into northern and southern hemispheres
Prime Meridian the line that separates the earth into western and eastern hemispheres
Latitude lines that run from the north pole to the south pole
Longitude the line that goes from west to east
Climate the weather in a period of time
Natural Resourse materials that occur in nature
Population Distribution the pattern of where people live in a certain area
Trade when you exchange 1 thing for another
Modify you make changes to changes something
Northern Hemisphere North America, South America, Africa, Europe Asia
Southern Hemisphere South America, Africa, Australia, Antartica
Western Hemisphere North America, South America, Africa, Antarctica
