Myth | A traditional story that helps to explain a culture's beliefs |
Oligarch | One of several people who rule a country or empire together sharing power |
Polis | A greek city-state, it included the city and the land surrounding it |
Tyrantis | A person who seizes power by force, possibly in an illegal way |
