SS Operations

TermDefinition
Sort used to arrange data in a specific order within a spreadsheet
Freeze Panes allows a row and/or column to remain stationary on the screen while you scroll
Fill Series used to fill a column/row with consecutive data (ex. months, days of the week, etc.)
Print used to provide a hard copy (copy on paper) of a spreadsheet
Ascending Order type of sort in which the computer sorts in alphabetical (A-Z) or numerical (1-10) order
Descending Order type of sort in which the computter sorts in reverse alphabetical (Z-A) or numerical (10-1) order
Primary type of sort that indicates the first range of data to be sorted
Secondary type of sort that indicates the next range of data to be sorted after the first
Fill Handle the black square in the bottom corner of a cell that is used to complete a series
Print Preview area on the print screen that is used to view how data is represented on paper
Print Selection area on the print screen that is used to print a portion (part) of a spreadsheet
Portrait Orientation when printing, the page orientation for which the paper is taller than it is wide
Landscape Orientation when printing, the page orientation for which the paper is wider than it is tall
Gridlines used to print lines around cells which, by default, do not print unless instructed to print
