| Indigenous | Originating or occurring naturally in a particular place; native. |
| Alliance | A union of two or more groups, usually to achieve a common goal |
| Humanitarian | Someone who is devoted to being kind to others & helping them when they are suffering. |
| civil war | a war within the same country |
| bartering | a system in which goods and services are exchanged instead of using cash as a payment in a traditional economy |
| drought | an extended period of time without rainfall |
| currency | something that is used as a medium of exchange; money |
| Ethnocentrism | Attitude in which a group of people believe their own culture is superior to, or better than other cultures |
| Capitalism | An economic system in which the production of goods and services are privately owned and operated for a profit. |
| Specialization | Those products a country makes best and that are in demand on the world market. |
| Incentive | Company benefits offered to employees. |
| Invest | to use money to earn more money : You might buy land or use your money to purchase stock in a company, in order to make future profit |
| Economics | a science concerned with the process or system by which goods and services are produced, sold, and bought |
| Savings | the amount of money that you have saved especially in a bank over a period of time |
| Credit | money that a bank or business will allow a person to use and then pay back in the future |

| stocks | a financial investment that signifies ownership in a company and makes claims on that company's earnings. |
| income | money you earn from work, investments, business, etc. |
| tax | an amount of money that government requires people to pay according to their income, the value of their property, etc. |
| debit card | a card used to withdraw money or pay for purchases directly from the person's bank account without the payment of interest. |
