Corrupt Lacking integrity, being dishonest or immoral.
HIV The virus that causes AIDS.
Sanction A penalty or pressure to get a country to change its policies.
Famine Widespread scarcity of food.
segregated When people are forced to be separated from others in a society because of their race.
refugee A person who flees his or her county to escape violence of war.
civil war A war within the same country.
