Invaders Enemies who enter a country by force

Tribute Fees paid to another ruler or country for protection or as a token of submission
Reign The period Of rule for a king, queen, Emperor, or empress
Scorched-earth policy In 1812, practice in which Russian troops, as they retreated from Napoleon's Army, burned crops and resources that could Supply the enemy
Collective Farms In the Soviet Union, a large farm where workers grew food to be distributed to the entire population
Federal system A system of government with a strong central government and local government units
