Columbian Exchange The exchange of plants, animals, and diseases between different continents.
Martin Luther A German priest who started the Protestant Reformation in 1517.
Mercantilism An economic theory that stated a nation's power was based on its wealth.
Mission Religious communities built by the Spanish which contained a small town, surrounding farmland, and a church.
Pilgrimage A religious journey to a holy place.
Plantation A large estate which grows cash crops and is farmed by laborers who live there.
Protestant Reformation Started by Martin Luther King when he listed his complaints against the Catholic Church which led to the dividing of the Christian religion into Catholic and Protestant.

Renaissance A period of the rebirth of knowledge and interest in learning in Europe between the 1300's and 1600's.
