Genetics

QuestionAnswer
Genotype The alleles of all the genes on an organism chromosome, contacts organisms phenotype
Phenotype How a trait appears or is expressed
Heredity The passing of trait from parent to offspring
Dominant trait A genetic factor that blocks another genetic factor
Recessive trait A genetic factor that is blocked by the presents by the dominant factor
Gene A section of DNA chromosome that has genetic information for one trait
Allele A different form of a gene
Probability The likelihood that a possible future event will occur in any given instant of events
Purebred Genes are the same
Hybrid Genes are different for a certain trait
Heterozygous A genotype in witch the two alleles of a gene are different
Homozygous A genotype in witch the two alleles of a gene are the same
