1. Where was the center of the the Aztec empire? The empire center was in the Valley of Mexico.
2. What were the Aztecs were mainly? They were mainly agrarian people.
3. What were the Aztecs two main classes? They were nobles and commoners.
4. How were the commoners lives? They were more humbly.(not good or bad)
5. Who were at the lowest level of their society? The slaves were at the lowest level of society.
6. Did Aztec children attend school? Yes, they did attend school for about at least a few years.
7. What was it like for most of the commoners? It was mostly revolving around farming and household duties.
8. Were all commoners farmers? No, there was also artisans and traders from far away places.
9. What were the Aztecs dedicated to practice? They were dedicated to practice of war.
10. Was kingship passed from father to son only? No, it was also passed down to relatives.
11. How many royal advisers were there? There were 5 royal advisers in total.
12. Who were beneath the royal advisers? There were the ruling council of Tenochtitlan, judges, clerks, and tax collectors.
13. Who controlled the Aztec city-states? Local chiefs controlled the city-states.
14. What was essential to the Aztec rule? Tribute was essential to the Aztec rule.
15. What do the Monarchs do? They give government support to religious institutions.
16. How many gods do they worship? They worshiped hundreds of gods.
17. Who was their important god? It was Huitzilopotchli, and He brought success in battles.
18. How many people do they sacrifice in a year? They sacrificed thousands of people every year.
19. Was human sacrifice used for control? It was used for political control to terrify the conquered people.
