Exponent tells how many times the base is used as a factor
Power a number that is expressed using an exponent
Base it is used as a factor as many times as given by the exponent
Negative Exponent they are the result of repeated division
Monomial an expression that is a number, a variable, or a product of numbers and/or variables
Standard Form a number that does not contain exponents
Scientific Notation a number that is expressed using the power of 10
Square Root one of the two equal factors of a number
Perfect Square rational numbers whose square root is a whole number
Radical Sign the square root symbol used to indicate a nonnegative square root
Cube Root one of three equal factors of a number
Perfect Cube a number that is the cube of an integer
Irrational Number a number that cannot be expressed as a/b
Real Numbers the set of rational numbers together with the set of irrational numbers
