Why is it so important to eat as a group? To spend time as a group.
What is the method for the square knot? Right over left, left over right.
Describe when a knife, saw, and ax should be used. A knife should be used for cutting a rope,opening a can, whittle a tent stake, punch a hole in a belt, or slice a biscuit for breakfast. A saw is used for most outdoor cutting.An ax is used for preparing fire wood.
How do you treat a simple cut or scrape? You wash the area with water for five minutes, then add a bandage.
How do treat a blister? You cut some mole skin into the shape of the blister you or someone else has twice. Then attach the moleskin on the blister to keep it from swelling up.
How do you treat a simple burn? You put it in cold water until the burn heals.
How do you treat a bite or sting from a tick or bee? You would use tweezers on ticks and twist them out and you cold use the the back of the blade with a pocket knife or a credit card to get a stinger out.
How do you treat a venomous snakebite? First you would take off all any rings, watches, etc.. The you want to call 911.
How do you treat a nosebleed? You need to sit leaning forward so that the blood does not go into the throat. Then you need to pinch, not breathing through your nose, under the bone for ten minutes. If it does not stop, hold it for five more. If it is still bleeding call 911.
How do you treat frost bite? You would put your hands under your armpit or in warm water.
How do you treat choking? Call 911 first then you tell him that you know first aid you are there to help him. Then you need to lean the person on your arm an d hit their shoulder blade with the heel of your hand five times.
