| Term | Definition |

| Auotcracy | Rule by one (monarchy, tyranny, dictatorship) |
| Constitutional Government | A written set of rules or laws everyone must follow |
| Democracy | Rule by many; form of limited government (republic) |
| Dictatorship | All powers belongs to the ruler |
| Limited Government | Government in which laws exist to set limits on the power of the government officials. |
| Monarchy | Rule by a king or queen |
| Oligarchy | Rule by many |
| Oppersions | The use of authority or power in a cruel or unjust way. |
| Republic | A form of government whose leader or leaders are elected, usually for a specific term. |
| Theocracy | A form of government based on religious beliefs |
| Totalitarian Government | Government in which the state has absolute control over almost every aspect of people's lives; the individuals is considered a servant of the state with almost no freedom of choice. |
| Unlimited Government | Government in which no rules or laws are in place to limit what the ruler can or cannot do. |
