| Empire | Many Territories and people who are controlled by one government. |
| Flood Plain | Low flat land that is covered in water when streams and rivers overflow. |
| Irrigation | A way to water land, some used this to help stop flooding. |
| Monotheism | The belief in one god. |
| Polytheism | The belief in many gods. |
| Theocracy | A form in government in which rule is directed by a belief in one god. |
| Temple | An edifice or place dedicated to the worship of a deity. |
| Monument | A statue building or other structure for/of a famous person or event. |
| Nobles | Rich and powerful people. |
| Bureaucracy | A system of managing government through departments run by appointed officials. |
| Quality | The standard of goods and services (the higher the quality the higher the cost). |
| Delta | A triangle shaped area of land made by soil deposited form a river. |
| Pyramids | A huge triangular tomb. |
| Mummification | The process of preserving a body. |
| Fertile | Rich farmland. |
| Cultural Diffusion | The spread of cultural elements from one society to another. |
| Old Kingdom | Period of time in which the Egyptians continue to develop their political system. |
| Middle Kingdom | - They expanded - They moved the capital to Thebes - They got taken over by Hyskos |
| New Kingdom | - There is more territory - There are new pharaohs - The first woman pharaoh |
