Ethnic groups of Southwest Asia

What is an Ethnic Group? a group of people that share cultural ideas and beliefs that have been a part of their community for generations.
Ethnic Groups often share what? language, religion, history, types of food, and traditions.
What are the types of Ethnic Groups in Southwest Asia? Kurds, Arabs, and Persians.
Arabs are decendents of who? Abraham.
Who is Abraham's son? Ishmael.
Which Ethnic group in Southwest Asia is the largest? Arabs.
What religion do most Arabs follow? Islam, but some are Christians.
What modern country do Persians live in? Iran.
Persians are the decendents of who? Indo-Europeans.
Where are Indo-Europeans from? Central Europe and Southern Russia.
What language do Persians speak? Farsi.
What religion do most Persians follow? Islam.
What branch of Islam do Persians follow? Shia Muslim.
Where do Kurds live? The mountainous areas of Syria, Turkey, Iran, and Iraq.
What language do Kurds speak? Kurdish.
What do Kurds hope to have? Their own country.
What has caused conflict between the Kurds and the countries that they live in? The fact that they want their own country.
What religion do most Kurds practice? Islam.
What branch of Islam do Kurds practice? Sunni Muslim.
