Mexico

TermDefinition
Subsistence farming Farming to grow only enough food for families to eat, not to sell.
Civilization A society with a highly developed culture, politics, and technology.
Ancestry The family one is descended from, going back in time; heritage.
Land reform The breaking up of large estates to give land to the poor.
Economic sectors A subdivision or smaller part of an economy, such as industry and agriculture.
Tyranny A harsh government.
Hieroglyphics An ancient system of writing that uses pictures and symbols.
Mural A large painting on a wall.
Nationalized To place a private industry under government control.
Multi-party democracy A political system in which elections include candidates from more than one party.
