Geography Vocabulary

What is a map? The drawing of a place
What is a Globe? A model of the Earth
What is a Compass Rose? A map symbol showing the directions north, south, east, and west
What is a legend or key? A tool that explains what each symbol means on a map
What is a continent? A large body of land.
What is an ocean? A large body of salt water.
