Who was Ferdinand Magellan and what did he do? Ferdinand Magellan was a Portuguese explorer and he was set out to find an Atlantic-Pacific passage. He was also the first person to circumnavigate the entire world.
Define Strait A narrow passage that connects two large bodies of water.
Define Circumnavigate Travel around the entire Earth.
