Political systems

TermDefinition
Capitalism A free enterprise system characterized by private or corporate ownership of capital goods.
Communism A poltical and economic system in which all property and wealth Is collectively owned by all members of society.
Human rights The political, economic, and cultural rights that all people should have.
Dictatorship Is a form of government in which a person or a small group rules with almost unlimited power.
Rosh Hashana The Jewish New Year; October 2-4.
Totalitarian Relating to a government ruled by a dictator that requires complete obedience to the state.
Unlimited government Government 's power has no limits.
Oligarchy Rule of the few
Monarchy A form of government headed by a king or queen.
Limited government The power of government leader is limited by a constitution.
Rule by one Monarchy or dictatorship: A single ruler controls government and claims the responsibility due to divine or hereditary right. Example Cuba, North Korea
Rule by few Small group has power; oligarchy. Iran, Nepal, Vietnam
Rule by many People have power, called a republic or a democracy. Ex: USA, Germany, Brazil, Japan
