geography the study world and the people and things that live there

climate is the type of weather a place has over a long period of time
equator is the imaginary line around the middle of the earth.

political map shows cities, states and countries
capital resource a tool, machine or building people use to produce goods and services.
human resource is a person and the skills and knowledge he or she brings to a job.
scarcity not having as much of something as people would like
opportunity cost the thing that you give up when you decide to do or have something else.
conservation is the protection and wise use of natural resources
region is an area that has one or more features in common.
economy it is a system people use to produce goods and services
specialization happens when people make the goods they are the best able to produce
consumer someone who buys goods and services.
trade is the buying and selling of goods.
environment is the surroundings in which people, plants and animals live
erosion the process by which water and wind wear away the land
pollution anything that makes soil, air, water dirty and unhealthy
ecosystem is a community of plants and animals along with the surrounding soil, air, and water.
