How did geography and climate affect how early people live unit 1 lesson 1

Name the four American cultural regions? Desert Southwest, Pacific Northwest, Eastern Woodlands, Great plains
Which region's people built Wigwams? The Eastern Woodlands people
What technologies did the Pacific Northwest region have? Dugout canoes, Whale fat for cooking, and wooden bowls
What region created a irrigation system for their crops? The Desert Southwest region
What region built different shelters during different times of the year ? The Great Plains Region built teppes in the summer and earth lodges in the Spring
Why did the Pacific Northwest Region have so many resources? What were some of the resources used for? Their location provided a good climate with a ocean and forest. The ocean provided fish for food and the forest provided cedar wood, nuts and berries.
What are some factors the American Indians considered when adapting to their environment? Geography, climate, and what natural resources were there.
