Who fought in the Continental Army? About 15,00 men initally volunteered, many African Americans, women dressed up: Deborah Sampson, 1 German soldier, poor farmers, France soldiers, Spain soldiers.
List the problems the Continental Army faced? Little money, in-experianced soldiers, not a lot of money, no uniforms, no dicipline, no knowledge, had to bring their own weapon.
List the ways the British Army was different than the Continental Army. Strong and experianced soldiers, British Parliment provided food and supplies, army includes 45,000 soldiers, several allies, 470 warships.
List the challenges the British faced by fijghting a war so far from home. Travel to America took about 3 months, Aproached many privateteers, didn't know the land, WOMEN, no local support, supply ships were attacked
What motivated soldiers in the Continental Army? Better future, wanted land, idependance, believed it was worth dying for
List three groups living in America that did not fight Britian Some African Americans, Native Americans, Loyalist
List the offensive moves that the British Army did Controlling Boston, capturing major cities, defeating the Continental Army in face-to-face fighting
List the defensive moves that the Continental Army did Gruellia tactic: sharpshoot down British soldiers; Hit-and-run tactic: charge and attack British soldiers the retreat—Repeat
List the things that women did to help the Continental Army Some dressed up as soldiers, mended clothes, spied, cooked food, nursed soldiers
