Where did Humans first appear? East Africa around 400,00 years ago
Early Man was called the Neolithic man. What happened in the NEOLITHIC REVOLUTION? The Neolithic man learned how to grow his own food. Take certain wild animals and domesticate them for food (cow) and built permanent homes.
What are Sumerians? Early people who lived in in the area called Mesopotamia (Middle East). This area lies between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers. This was a river valley civilization
What did the Sumerians (3,500 B.C.) invent or start? They invent the wheel, sailboats and a 12 month calender which helped them to farm.
What did the Early Egyptian river valley civilization (3,200 B.C.) invent? Geometry, Astronomy (study of outer space), and medicine due to mummification.
Where is the Indus River Valley civilization (2,500 B.C). located? In India along the Indus river
What were the Indus River Valley Civilization the first to invent and use? Each home was connected to public sewers ( toilets), the had fresh water supply pumped into the homes and the were the first to grow cotton and make clothing from cotton
Where was the Huang Hu civilization located? China near the yellow river
What did the Chinese invent? silk, construct irrigation system ( watering crops), and their calendar.
