On what date was Canyon County established? March 7, 1891
How did Canyon County get it's name? It is currently believed to be named for the Boise River canyon near Caldwell, however, some believe it is named for the Snake River Canyon which is a natural boundry for the county.
How many counties are there in Idaho? 44
Why do we only study two of the counties? Ada and Canyon counties are the only counties within the West Ada School District attendance zone
How large is Canyon County geographically? 603 sq miles
