What are frescos? Cemented paintings, tells about past.
What is democratic? Every citizen gets to vote on an issue.
What is a constitution? Rules and principals for governing.
What is a prophecy? Prediction about the future.
What is an acropolis? Fortified hill
Who are aristocrats? Members of Sparta's ruling class; RICH.
Who are Hellenes? Term used to refer to all Greek people.
What is a trireme? Warship built by the Greeks.
What is an agora? Greek market place.
What is a labyrinth? Maze
What is an oligarchy? Goverment in which few people make decision.
What are the Olympiads? 4 years in between Olympic games.
What is an orator? Public speaker
What is a hypothesis? Educated guess.
What is a phalanx? Foot soilders, 16 rows deep, overlapping shields.
