Chapter 16

Deciduous Vocabulary-describing the trees that shed their leaves during autumn.
Harnessed Vocabulary-to get control of or use.
Complex Vocabulary-highly developed.
Irrigate Vocabulary-to supply land with water through ditches or pipes.
Significant Vocabulary-important.
Oasis Vocabulary-a fertile area that rises in a desert wherever water is regularly availible.
Homogeneous Vocabulary-made up of many things that are the same.
Yurts Vocabulary-a large, circular structure made of animal skins that can be picked up or moved from place to place; used as a home in Mongolia.
Syr Dar'Ya & Amu Dar'Ya Rivers Central Asia- Are heavily depended on because its region is very dry. They also flow from the mountains to the deserts.
Climate Central Asia- Dry conditions prevail across much of Central Asia which is called an arid climate.
Turkmenistan Central Asia- Is about the size of Minnesota. And is a Southern most country.
Ubekistan Central Asia-
Conquerors. What was the big prize? Central Asia- The big prize was to obtain the Caucasus region because it is a cross way between Europe & Asia.
