Sparta Sparta or Lacedaemon was a prominent city-state in ancient Greece, situated on the banks of the Eurotas River in Laconia, in south-eastern Peloponnese.
Athens Athens has been the center of Greek civilization for some 4,000 years. The capital of modern Greece.
Socrates Socrates was a classical Greek philosopher credited as one of the founders of Western philosophy.
Plato Plato was a philosopher in Classical Greece and the founder of the Academy in Athens, the first institution of higher learning in the Western world.
Aristotle Aristotle was a Greek philosopher and scientist born in the city of Stagira, Chalkidice, on the northern periphery of Classical Greece.
