What products from the Greek mainland were traded? Products from the Greek mainland that were traded was olive oil, pottery, and wine.
What does merchant mean? Merchant means a person who makes money by selling goods.
What products did the Greeks get in exchange when they traded? The products the Greeks got in exchange were grain, timber, and metal.
Describe the steps the Greeks followed when they started a colony. The steps the Greeks followed when they started a new colony were consulting with an oracle, gathered food and supplies and the town torch, long voyage, and had to look for a good place to settle.
List three animals Greek farmers raised. Three animals Greek farmers raised were sheep, goats, and oxen.
What does settlement mean? Settlement means a small community or village.
What does peninsula mean? Peninsula means a piece of land bordered by water on three sides but connected to mainland.
Why did some Greek settlements trade? Some Greek settlements traded to get goods they needed and had too little land to grow everything that was needed.
Why was the sea important to the ancient Greeks? The sea was important to the ancient Greeks because they could use the water for farming and to drink.
What does colonist mean? Colonist means a person who lives in a colony.
What does shelter mean? Shelter means a place that provides protection from weather, such as a house.
