Egypt Vocabulary

TermDefinition
Urbanization The process of a place growing and becoming a city.
Neolithic Revolution A time when people began to change from hunters and gathers to producers of food.
Cultural Region Is an area where people share common cultural characteristics, such as beliefs, foods, language, ways of dress, and style of homes.
Topographical Map A map that shows the height of the land.
Globalization The sharing of ideas, practices, and products through trade.
Civilization A society with cities, a government, workers who specialize, and a distinct form of art.
State of Nature The condition of a group of people when there is no government or structure.
Human Resources The people who work to produce goods and services.
Theocracy A government that recognizes a god as the ultimate authority and religion is used to settle issues and make decisions.
Negative Relationship As one thing increases the other decreases.
Megalopolis A very large, heavily populated city or urban complex.
Command Economy When the government decides how scarcity and resources will be handled by choosing what should be made, how it should be made, and who should get the product or service.
Global Positing System A navigation system that shows people their exact latitude and longitude coordinates.
