Gulf of Mexico | This body of water is located to the east of Mexico and is nearly surrounded by Mexico. |
Caribbean Sea | This body of water is located to the east of Central America, and it holds many small island nations. |
Panama Canal | Man-made waterway that connects the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. |
The Andes Mountains | Long mountain range located in western South America. |
Sierra Madres | The mountain ranges that runs along the western and eastern sides of Mexico and Central America. |
The Pacific Ocean | The ocean to the west of Latin America. |
Bolivia | Land-locked country in South America(not Paraguay). |
Climate | The typical weather conditions for a particular region. |
Natural Resource | Useful materials found, not made, by human beings. Examples might be rocks, minerals, forests, and arable land. |
Population | The arrangement or spread of people living in a region. |
Cuba | This country is a large island nation with many ports, but is small compared to other nations. |
Brazil | This country is the largest country in Latin America. Its rainforest provide vast natural resources for trade. |
Mexico | This country has diverse climate regions. Its main export is oil, but it also exports silver and farm goods. |
Venezuela | This country has coasts on the Caribbean Sea and Atlantic Ocean, making trade easy. Also, close to the Panama Canal. |
Air Pollution | Contaminating the atmosphere with harmful chemicals. |
Deforestation | Cutting down huge chunks of forested regions. |
Amazon | The name of the rainforest in Brazil. |
Mexico City | This country has major air pollution problems in its capital city. |
Venezuela | The country where oil-related pollution is a problem. |
Mulatto | A person of mixed African and European descent. |
Mestizo | A person of mixed native and European descent. |
Catholic | Religion practiced by Spanish colonists to Latin America. Many Spanish missions also converted native people. |
Portuguese | Main language of Brazil. |
Spanish | Main language most of Latin America. |
