How did the Nile River help Egypt? The Nile River helped Egypt by: (1) allowing a faster way to transport goods up and down river. (2) flooding allowed farmers to water croups. (3) flooding brought good fertile soil to the fertile crescent.
What was Upper Egypt? Upper Egypt is in the south and "upstream"
What was Lower Egypt? Northern Egypt is called lower Egypt. Because it is lower or downstream.
What was Nubia? Nubia was a wealthy kingdom south of Egypt. It had gold.
What was Kush? Mush was a wealthy kingdom south of Egypt and Nubia. It had ebony, ivory, animal hides, gold, copper, precious stones.
What was Memphis? It was the capital city made by ruler "Menes" located in Lower Egypt. It is where the "Pharaoh" or ruler made decisions.
What was the Old Kingdom of Egypt? It is a period of time when the ruler of Egypt worked to unify the country together. 2700 BC to 2200 BC, 500 years.
What does Unification mean? To unify or bring together.
What is a Pharaoh? It is a ruler of Egypt.
Who was Menes? He was the Pharaoh or first ruler of Egypt
