Who owned the Louisiana territory in 1800 and why did they want to sell it? What effect did the Louisiana Purchase have on the size of America? France owned the Louisiana territory and they wanted to sell it because they wanted money to fight war with Britain. The Louisiana Purchase doubled the size of the United States.
Why did Thomas Jefferson purchase it? What was the purpose of Lewis and Clark expedition? Thomas Jefferson purchased it so that farmers can have more land . The purpose was to explore the Louisiana territory.
What was one way that Lewis and Clark Expedition affect of America? What were two reasons that many Americans were angry at Britain and early 1800's? It affect the America because now we have accurate maps. They impressed the United States and interfere with American shipping.
What Act did Thomas Jefferson support that dealt with problems with Britain and what did it do? Was Jeffersons policy effective why or why not? Thomas Jefferson pass the Embargo Act and they were no longer able to trade. Jefferson's policies wasn't effective because it hurts Americans more than it hurt Frances.
What was the Star Spangled banner about and who wrote it? Who is Andrew Jackson and how did the victory affect him? It was about the battle and war. Andrew Jackson was a general and then became a hero in result of the Battle of New Orleans
