coastline The outline of the seashore or land along the sea or ocean
newcomer A person who has just come to a place.
compromise A settlement of a dispute in which each side gives up some of its demands.
constitution The basic laws or rules for a government, or a nation, state, or organized group
power Strength; the ability to act or do; control over
flatboat A large boat with a flat bottom and squared end, often used to float down rivers
government A rule over country, state, district, the system of ruling
governor A person selected to be in charge of something, the main leader of a state.
boatmen A person who uses a boat or works on a boat
colony A group of persons who move from their own land to start a settlement somewhere else; the place of a country settled such as a group
ceremony A special form or set of acts set to be done on special occasions
General Assembly A group of people elected to make laws for a state.
