| swampland | low-lying land that collects water and is always wet and spongy |
| mineral resource | material having value that is taken from the earth |
| spring | to leap; to jump up; a flow of water coming from the earth; a season of the year |
| climate | the average weather conditions of a particular place or region, including temperature , rainfall, wind, and sunlight. |
| soybeans | a plant grown for animal food, vegetable oil, flour, and meal |
| plains | broad stretches of flat land |
| turbine | an engine or motor that is run by the force of water, steam, or air |
| electricity | a form of energy that can produce light, heat, and motion |
