Congressional Reconstruction | Congress took control of reconstruction, divided the South into military districts, and Southern states had to ratify the 14th Amendment |
Military Reconstruction | military took responsibility for bringing the South back into the Union and southern states had to ratify the 15th Amendment |
sharecropping | farmers who worked on someone else's land in exchange for a share of the crops & the use of their equipment |
