The who's and the what's
Term | Definition |

Content Knowledge (CK) | The understanding of the material that is to be taught/learned. |
Pedagogical Knowledge (PK) | The understanding of the processes/methods of teaching/learning. |
Technology Knowledge (TK) | The understanding of technological tools and resources. |
Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) | The teacher's ability to understand the course material and find different way of presenting it, and tailoring the lesson to fit the needs of each student. |
Technological Content Knowledge (TCK) | The teacher's ability to understand how technology and the course material influence one another |
Technological Pedagogical Knowledge (TPK) | An understanding of how teaching and learning can change when particular technologies are used in particular ways, including the technological tool's range and restraints. |
Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) | The necessary basis for effective teaching with technology. It combines the understanding of content, pedagogical, and technology knowledge to know how to strengthen, build upon, and develop student knowledge. |
