| coordinate | the row and column designations that define a cell location on a grid |
| data series | group of related info in a column or row of a worksheet that will be plotted on a chart |
| forecast | to calculate the effect of change before the change takes place; to make financial predictions |
| formula | a math equation using values from the spreadsheet, numbers, and/or symbols |
| grid | a series of evenly spaced horizontal and vertical lines that intersect each other |
| labels | data that appear in alphabetic numbers that cannot be manipulated mathematically |
| line chart | illustrates relationships with a line that connects data points used to show trends over time |
| pie chart | illustrates data in a circle that shows the relationships of part of a whole |
