What is delta? Small streams that flow into the Mediterranean Sea
What is a cataract? Steep surface with rocks, waterfalls and rapids
What is silt? Earthy matter, fine sand carried by moving water

How was the black land different from the red land? Black land had lots of fertile land and water to grow grow crops. Had lots of life. Whereas, the red land was desert like land that had no water and no life.
How did the Nile help the ancient Egyptians? It helped them by providing clean and fresh water for cooking, bathing and for growing crops. Also, it gave them a away to travel easy and a trading path
How did the Sahara and the Arabian deserts help the Egyptians? They helped the Egyptians by providing protection on the East and West side of the Nile River
Facts you learned that helped you understand the Egyptians way of life I learned that they settled by the Nile River. This determined their way of life because they became farmers because of the rich fertile soil they settled on.
Why is Upper Egypt lower than Lower Egypt? This is because of elevation. Upper Egypt has a higher elevation where it is located and Lower Egypt has a lower elevation where it is located.
