Metis Children of French and native people.
Transcontinental Describing something that crosses a continent
Granary A building used to store harvested grain.
Via On the way through.
Metropolitan Area An area that includes a city and its surrounding suburbs.
Bilingual Able to use two languages.
Peacekeeping Sending trained members of the military to crisis spots to maintain peace and order.
Separatist An individual who wants to break away from control by a dominate group.
Autonomy Having independence from another country.
Acid Rain Rain that contains harmful amounts of poisons due to pollution.
