Microcollection Containers Small tube used to collect dermal puncture sample; also called a" Bullet".
Venous Thrombosis Formation of a blood clot within a vein.
Calcaneus Heel bone.
Lymphostasis Lack of movement of lymph fluid.
Occluded Blocked.
Sclerosed Hardened.
Compartment Syndrome Condition in which collection of fluid in a confined space prevents blood flow.
Emesis Nausea and Vomiting.
Hemolysis Destruction of red blood cell,
Reflux Flow the blood from the collection tube back into the needle and then into the the patient's vein.
Syncope Fainting.
Bilirubin Substance produced by the normal breakdown of the red blood cells that may accumulate in the blood.
Galactosemia A metabolic disease
Homocystinuria Inherited metabolic disorder.
Hypothyroidism Condition caused by too little sercretion of thyroid
Jaundice Yellowing at the skin
Kernicterus Neurological condition that occure in some new borne with severe jaundice.
Phenylketonuria Inherited metabolic disease
Sickle Cell Anemia Inherited disorder of the hemoglobin molecule.
