Golden age of Athens

Golden age A time of great peace or wealth
Percilus Was a guy that inspired Athens to re-build.
Acropolises A hill above Athens with temples on it.
Parthenon A temple on the acropolis that honored Athena.
Myth A traditional story that helps explain a cultures belief.
Arcitecture The art of designing buildings.
Sculpture The art of creating three dimensional figures from such things as wood, stone, and clay
Socrates Was a man who was always encouraging people to question the things they though they knew.
Plato Was Socrates student and was inspired by him.
Parenthetic games A lot of games in a festival that was to honor Goddess Athena.
Olympics A set of games to play every 4 years to honor the gods.
