what is the proclamation of 1763? it diminish the cost of frontier defense, banned white settlement west of the appalchian mountains. it was also an alarming threat to the colonial cherished liberties and their govt.
Sugar Act of 1764 the british cut the duty on sugar in half to take the incentive out of bribing customs officers. wanted to stop the smuggling, put taxes on the sugar and certain luxuries so that no one could afford it adn the would make more money.
Stamp Act of 1765 taxes on special stamped paper for documents, liscenses, papers, pamplets. almanacs, and playing cards. the ppl boycotted agaisnt british goods. the sons and daughters used violence.
Quartening Act of 1765 had the colonies provide food and living quaters for british soilders. have to give up their homes.
Townshend Act of 1767 taxes on glass, lead, paint, paper, and tea. it was proven that there cant be a taxation without a representive.
Boston massacre of 1767 the british killed 5 people at a protest. one was african american. there was a trial, british called it an incident colonies called it a massacre.
Tea act of 1773 british put a tax on tea. colonies wont buy the british tead, they didnt wanna pay taxes. the natinves dumped 342 chests of tea into the harbor. some ppl were happy and others wernt.
Intolerable act of 1774 closed the boston port until all damages were paid off, made it so the colonies didnt have so much power, and had to give up there homes to british soldiers.
