The Globe

| Aerial Photographs | Photographs or pictures produced(taken) by satellites. |
| Globe | A globe is round like the earth and lets you see the entire surface. It is like looking at teh earth from space. |
| Map | It is flat and shows you the different parts of the earth. |
| Lines of Longitude | They are also called "meridians" they run north to south on the globe. |
| Prime Meridian | It is the center line or starting point that runs north to south. It is zero degrees. |
| Lines of Longitude | They run north to south and measure the distance around the earth east to west. But the lines run north to south. |
| Lines of Latitude | They are also called "parallels". They are like the rungs on a ladder which go up and down. The lines runs east to west on the globe. They run across the globe sideways. |
| Equator | A line of Latitude. The middle of the earth at 0 degrees. |
| What are the seven continents? | North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, Antarctica |
| Name the different hempsispheres | Northern, Southern, Eastern, Western. |
