Hemispheres Halves of Earth, it lies.
Equator Circles Earth halfway between the North Pole & South Pole.
Prime Meridian Divides Earth into the Western & Eastern Hemispheres.
Continents Are the largest land areas on Earth.
Relative Location Of a place is where it is in relation to other places on Earth.
Border Is a line that shows the end of a place.
Gulf Is a part of an ocean or a sea that reaches into the land.
Absolute Location Exact location, of a place.
Lines Of Latitude Run east & west.
Lines Of Longitude Run North & South.
LandForms Are features such as mountains, hills, valleys, and plains that make up Earth's surface.
Sea Level Is level with the surface of the ocean.
Plateau Is a high, flat area of land.
Source River is the place where it begins.
Tributary Is a river or stream that flows into a larger river.
Mouth Of a river is the place where it empties into a larger body of water.
Basin Is low, bowl-shaped land with higher ground around it.
Canyon Is a deep, narrow valley with steep sides.
Elevation Is the height of the land above a sea level.
Temperature How hot or cold the air is.
Precipitation Water that falls to Earth's surface as rain, sleet, or snow.
Climate Is the kind of weather a place has over a long time.
Humidity To the air.
Line Graph Can make it easier to find these patterns because it shows changes over time.
Relief Differences in elevation.
Natural Resocure Something found in nature, such as water, soil, or minerals, that people can use to meet their needs.
Reneable Something that can be made again by nature or people.
Groundwater Is the water that sinks beneath Earth's surface when it rains or snows.
Industry Is all the business that make one kind of service.
Minerals Are natural substance found in rocks.
Nonrenewable It cannot be replaced.
Environment Surroundings in which people, plants, and animals live.
Conservation Is the protecting of natural sorceress and using them wisely.
