TermDefinition
Hemisphere Is each half of the world.
Key Is the meaning of the map by explaining the symbols,colors,and lines.
Scale Bar Tells you how a measured space on the map corresponds to actual distance on Earth.
Compass Rose It shows direction
Map Projection To convert the round Earth to a flat map.
Scale is the relationship between distances on the map and on Earth.
Elevation Is how much above or below sea level a feature is.
Relief Is the height of a landform compared by other landforms nearby.
Thematic Map Show more specialized information .
Technology Is any way that scientific discoveries are applied to practical use.
Remote Sensing It means sensing information from far away.
