Key The features on a map that explain the symbols ,colors,and lines used on the map
Scale Bar the feature on a map that tells how a measured space on the map relates to the actual distance on Earth
Compass Rose the feature on a map that shows direction
Map Projections one of several systems used to represent the round Earth on a flat map
Scale the relationship between distances on the map and on the earth
Elevation the measurement of how much above or below sea level a place is
Relief the difference between the elevation of one feature and the and the elevation of another feature near it
Thematic Map a map that shows specialized information
Technology any way that scientific discoveries are applied to practical use
Remote Sensing the method of getting information from far away, such as deep below the ground
