| Anterior of Pituitary Gland | Produces growth hormone (GH), thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH), follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinizing hormone (LH) and prolactin |
| Posterior of Pituitary Gland | Produces oxytocin & vasopressin aka antidiuretic hormone (ADH) |
| Hypothalamus | Serves as a bridge between the nervous system & the hormonal system |
| Pineal Gland | Maintains circadian rhythms & sleep-awake patterns |
| Thyroid Gland | Produces thyroxine (T4), triiodothyronine (T3) & calcitonin |
| Parathyroid Gland | Secretes parathyroid hormone (PTH), which maintains appropriate calcium levels in the body |
| Thymus Gland | Secretes humoral factors necessary in maintaining the immune system |
| Adrenal Gland | The medulla region secretes epinephrine & norepinephrine,; the cortex region secretes glucorticoid hormones |
| Pancreas | Produces & secretes hormones from the islets of Langerhans; alpha cells produce glucagon & beta cells produce insulin |
| Ovaries | Secrete estrogen & progesterone |
| Testes | Secrete testosterone |
