What was Nazism? Hitler's national socialist power seized all government power
What was Fascism? A political process in which the state or government is seen as more important
What was Communism? Power of the people and equal distribution of wealth
Who was Adolf Hitler? German dictator who gained power by taking advantage of public anger
Who was Benito Mussolini? Italian dictator who gained power over Italy
Who was Joseph Stalin? Dictator of the Soviet Union who terrorized political enemies and soviet citizens

What was the Cash and Carry Act? When Americans would loan money to other countries
Appeasement Avoiding war with an enemy nation, giving it to it's demands
What was the Munich Conference? When Germany was given control over the Sudetenland not demanding for land
Lend-Lease The President can help any country that believed vital to the U.S. defense
Who were the Allies? Great Britain, France and the U.S.
What was Pearl Harbor? A U.S. naval base in Hawaii that was attacked by the Japanese
What were European/Pacific Theaters? Areas where major fighting took place
What was D-Day? When American, British and Canadian troops attacked France on June 6 1944
Island Hopping Strategy where allies would attack the most important islands instead of islands controlled by the Japanese
What was Midway? A U.S. naval base in the Pacific that was bombed by Japan
What was Hiroshima and Nagasaki? Two major Japanese cities that were atomically bombed by the U.S.
What was Kamikaze? A Japanese tactic of crashing piloted planes into enemy fleet.
What were Japanese Internment Camps? When Americans contained the Japanese in camps to keep them from spying
Korematsu v. U.S. Trial against internment camps
Who was Rosie the Riveter? Woman that resembled strength for women
African Americans in workforce African Americans can hold jobs for white men
