| Shakoto | The prince during the time of medieval Japan, and he created the first constitution. |
| Regent | Someone who rules in name of the other. |
| Shinto | The original religion that the Japanese used. |
| Pagodas | A building with many floors and roofs. |
| Seventeen Article Constitution | Guidelines that state the emperor was the country's supreme leader. |
| Kami | Followers of Shinto, worshiped spirits called kami. |
